Apricot Kernels
Apricot kernels (also known as apricot seeds) are the small seeds found inside the pit of an apricot.
Apricot kernels are the one of the highest natural sources of a rare substance called amygdaline, also
known as vitamin B17, an important nutrient. A cholesterol-free food, apricot kernels also have
healthy plant fats, protein and iron.
Apricot kernels have relaxing effects and may lower blood pressure, thus it is recommended to only
consume 5 per hour, and no more than 10 a day. Also it is noteworthy also that apricot seeds could
cure for many diseases, including cancer.
In its composition contains fatty acids (linoleic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid), salts of magnesium,
potassium, tocopherols, phospholipids, vitamins C and A, and F in active form.
